What doesn’t kill you is a roller coaster of a read. From the backstreets of Dundee to Mayfair to Istanbul this story grips from the first page and doesn’t let go. With money laundering, bearer bonds, guns and Russian gangsters it is hard to believe this story is based on true events but it is! The book ends on a cliff hanger….I can’t wait for the next installment.

A real page turner. I couldn’t wait to find out the end and because it is based on real events, it is truly an amazing read.

A Short Passage From My Book

‘Walking out of the shop a feeling of unease washed over me. I could hear the bodyguard behind, and it sounded as though he had unhooked his weapon again. Without a second thought, my gun was drawn, and I quickly turned around to face him. We had a gun to each other’s head. Adrenaline was pumping through my body. He could blow my head off with one squeeze of the trigger!

“What the fuck are you doing!” I screamed at him.

“You’re the one that pulled your fucking gun out!” he snarled back at me.

The two of us stood, guns drawn, neither one of us daring to blink. The guy that had been authenticating the bond stood in the doorway, completely still, scared for his life.

After a few minutes he finally spoke

“Guys, calm down. This is just a misunderstanding. No one needs to get hurt here. Just put your guns away.”

“Were you told to shoot me?” I questioned the bodyguard.

“Definitely not! I only pulled my fucking gun because you did!” he replied.

Realizing it had been a mistake.

“Ok, we lower our weapons after three, agreed?” I instructed the bodyguard.

“Ok,” he replied with a shaky voice.

“1,2,3,” I counted, and we both lowered our weapons at the same time. We could both take a breath again!

“It sounded as though you pulled your weapon and I overreacted. I’m sorry, now can we get the fuck out of here?” I asked.’
